Hertz website is useless...Unable to log in consistently

I've created a Hertz account twice because after the first time I could not log in. Repeated the registration steps again, logged on and it could not find my reservatation (I have the car). Attempted to log in again 2/25 and again says username/password not found. This is ridiculous.

Site allows me to log in but will not accept selections for destinations. When I click on the destination I want that has a blue underline identifying it as a link, instead of specifying that destination, nothing happens. I rented from Avis instead.

Cannot cancel

I have an upcoming reservation that I've been trying to cancel for 2 days now - both on the iPhone app and on the website via Safari browser. Both ask me to agree to any cancellation charges & I say "yes" & then submit - all I get is a circle that never stops spinning. Then I get about 12 emails stating the reservation has been cancelled - but I go back the next day and the trip still shows up on my acct!! The error message I get is hilarious too: "De #1 unable to process #1 club awards." ???? WTH?? (What is "de"? & what are the "club awards" it's trying to process??)

I live in Switzerland and am trying to rent a car for when I come to the US next month and every date and location I try I get a pop-up saying that no cars are available at that location or date. I've had this problem just like everyone else for a long time. However, I am trying to access Hertz from a company PC that uses ZScalar for VPN, like NordVPN access. After turning off ZScalar, I was able to login just fine. Hope this helps others!

I was not able to log in to my 'gold plus' account, nor to get a password reminder. Emailed Gold Plus and got a bounce back - the address has permanent fatal errors.
Managed to book as a guest. SO the problem appears only to be with the 'loyalty' scheme.
