Jpay presenting problems. Unable to establish a stable connection.
After logging in, it takes me to the login page again and repeats. When I rarely manage to log in, it soon disconnects us again.

Don’t do video sessions today!

Don’t do video sessions today! Waited all week to finally see my boyfriend it kicked us off after 3 minutes and then when u go to reconnect to the video session it kicked u back to the log in page and the took the money for it and wouldn’t let me rejoin. Cant get my money back and can’t even see my boyfriend…. Awesome.

Jpay will not work

For months every time I go to try and set up video connect it keeps rerouting me back to the home screen the only thing I can do is buy stamps and send money. It won't let me buy media either. I called I was told to clear my history and cache. I tired on multiple computers same thing. They told me to call back after I did that.

Still issues

Can't access the website again. Can send email from app but can't attach pictures. Have to send those separately on Snap to Send from app. Talked on the phone with my husband and the kiosks have not been working well and glitching in the facility (in MN) also so he's been having issues even getting what has been sent. Beyond ridiculous for a multi million dollar business, subsidized and supported by the government, that operates solely as an online platform, to have this bad of operating systems.

Cannot attach images to emails on Jpay.com

Using the www.jpay.com website accessed from Iowa in the U.S. using Google Chrome or Internet Exporer, I cannot attach any images to the email message. This problem began around Feb. 7, 2023, and contines through today, Feb. 14, 2023. When I attempt to attach an image of the appropriate size (less than 1 MB) to the email after typing it, the webpage "thinks" for a while, then switches to a webpage that shows the following message:

Tip to get Jpay to work

Jpay works for America! So if you’re in Europe or elsewhere, get a VPN, like NordVPN and change the location to the US. there are free VPNs in the App Store and I am sure also play store. just change your location to US, it will work!

Listen up everyone.
Instead of logging in through the app, type www.Jpay.com in the Google search bar.
It will pull up jpay.
Go to Jpay and login.
It opened for me.
Must be something with the app that is preventing people to log in.
I sent out a few emails and read my incoming emails with no problem.

It was spotty briefly and now completely down. It is both the app and the website that is down. Apparently they are aware of the issue and are working to resolve the issue. I hope they give the our incarcerated loved ones and us some free stamps for the trouble. It’s stressful for them and us.

I keep getting an error message saying that it is an internal error and that i need to contact jpay. I have called more than 10 times and no one has been able to help. I am still encountering the same issue. I have tried with the app and the browser and still nothing. This is really annoying because this is the only service the facility uses.

For anybody else reading this and getting the "0 Characters Remaining" problem - California has switched to using Global Tel Link (gtl.net) for all email. You can send money through JPAY but not email.

The CDCR is the biggest scam there is. I'm SO glad when visiting was stopped during covid, only because they lost MILLIONS in the BS food they sell in visitation. My next door neighbor is a CDCR C.O. and so is his son. We talk over beers and the shit I have heard when they catch a buzz, is phenomenal. The system is designed to make the judges and wardens rich.

Last night I could not email my Brother at California Health Care Facility. Nor another contact at the same place. I tried another contact at a different place and that worked. Today same thing so I logged out and reloaded the app on my phone. The only tabs that showed were to send money and send snap and send which is not available to my Brother. I also went to the web site JPay and their was no mail available there.

Wow, really???? Why and how tf do they justify charging us so damn much money to communicate with our loved ones, when the app has so damn many issues!!??? Even the web site isn’t working?? This is bs! I’m in Texas, haven’t been able to log in at all, I’m furious about the fact that all the videos I’ve sent the last few weeks have not been being delivered, either! How much money have I lost with them just deciding, “nope, we’re not sending any of these videos and half of the photos you’ve PAID TO SEND to your loved one, who is probably going through enough already.” Even when I know I have not sent anything that should be disallowed. I’m FURIOUS with this situation, today, though. This is absolutely inexcusable! If this is the only way to communicate with the man I love and I can’t even use it because I can’t trust it to ever work properly, let alone never know if the messages are even going to be received by him, or if/when it’s ever going to even allow me to log in, howwwe can they justify not giving another option for said communication? I’m just livid right now!
