Renfe webstite problem solver, maybe

I talked with someone at Renfe just now. He says to buy tickets on line, when you run into the country dial code problem, use the Spanish code (+34) and then 666666666 (number 6, nine times). Nothing like a good devil number! However, it's easier to call them by phone +34 91 320 320. I hope this helps save someone else my frustration.

Continuing failure of website

When I get almost to point of buying tickets and have to put in country dial code for USA (+1) it doesn't appear on the drop-down menu and I can't put in my phone number correctly. Cannot go further in the process. I have been trying for several days on the web, and trying to reach Renfe by phone with no success yet. Last week I reached a sales agent on the phone and he told me the website was being worked on...evidently it still needs work!

The problems as described by others still persist. I can't get the Web site nor the phone app to work either.

Renfe site is garbage, does not work for USA residents

Awful system. Will not let me purchase train tickets. Will not let me update my personal data. Site constantly gives error messages regarding wrong telephone format for USA users. When attempting to make updates to use USA and +1 for phone, it reverts back to +34 causing further errors. Will not let me adjust number of passengers on search for trains. Will not let me verify my info to proceed using my correct email and ID number (passport). Overall garbage system. Other sites for train tickets do charge higher fees but at least they allow for a more friendly user experience. Absolutely terrible.

This website is a disaster. I spent days trying to buy a ticket using a computer and website www.renfe.com. Kept getting error that some purchasing process is already started but no way to find out what exactly it was. Technical customer support is not existent.
Finally I managed to buy the ticket using phone app. But today, I wanted to buy another ticket Madrid Toledo... And the app is not working.

really slow, often problems with login, overview and search function could be better, whole booking process to long, not all trains are visible on the schedule
