When personal computers first came out, most of us adults had no idea how to work them. My son-in-law got tired of answering questions, and turned me on to DSL Reports. That was a gift!! Justine had assembled a bunch of people who were proficient in all aspects of computing, and, through the years have probably helped thousands, maybe millions of people like me. I’ve made friends here, that I hold dear, even though I’ve never met them in person. So thanks, Justin, for all the help I have received, through the years, from your site ????????

Here's the deal.
Posting this from outside our organization. I work for dslreport's provider and am also a member of the site. I'm not allowed to speak publicly so I won't get into certain identifying details. I can say that there has been some electronic correspondence between the site and us over the last few days regarding negotiations for a "shut down". This outage may be a coincidence but if the content was disconnected from the servers in a certain way this is what I would expect. I give it a 50/50 chance it's gone for good. Hosting costs have been a sticking point for the last couple years and presumably the site is no longer sustainable. Many parts of the site are broken and not being maintained. I hope I'm wrong and it comes back up but long term does not look good. RIP.

Also the reasoning in the previous post here from "Justin" does not line up with what I know and probably just someone who was butt hurt about being modded. Always made the same complaints on the site.

@Maltz: The link you posted is not relevant to this situation. Your link is about something in 2018. You can tell by the date embedded in the DSLR link that it references.
