Suggested workarounds do not work either

To "Admin" who suggested trying four different variations of the URL for freemake.com:

All of those URL variants redirect to the same broken page, www.freemake.com/#.

www.freemake.com loads, but all links circle back

Freemake's website (www.freemake.com) is returning an HTTP Response Code 301 for every link on the home page. The redirect is circular and loops back to www.freemake.com/#, so in effect none of the links go anywhere. Others have reported that their products purchased from Freemake are also broken, so those products must attempt to "phone home" and are receive the HTTP 301 as well.
