Run from Klarna

terrible customer service, cannot login to account on any device, escalation impossible to a supervisor, IT escalation 1-SIX days, CANNOT take any payment or update account, worst experience with any company and now fear a drop in credit score due to inability to update account or make payment.

I have used Klarna for a year or more. No delayed payments, no returns- everything paid on time or early and in full. They have increased my available limit at least twice, including this week! Yet since my bank replaced my card due to a compromise in Dec, they continue to decline it. I have made payments to Klarna using this same card because I updated it in Klarna when the prior one had to be changed. The card works everywhere else. It’s a Chase bank card. My credit has improved. And, I even checked my address & full match even though it had never been changed. They continue to tell me something is wrong with my card & refuse to actually even consider that the issue is on their side. Interestingly After Pay was able to let me make a 4 part payment WITH the same card TODAY with no problem. I decided to try them because I’m tired of fighting with Klarna to be their customer when clearly they couldn’t care less. Your escalation process sucks & you refuse to give a clear and specific reason why you keep declining a card that works everywhere except for Klarna. Vague bs reasons like “possibly” your credit score or possibly a return, or possibly a past due balance tell me nothing because none of them apply. Beware Klarna shoppers. I’m not the only one who has encountered some screwy problems that Klarna refuses to resolve or acknowledge.

I have been receiving the information also about not being able to create a one time card. So I wrote customer service and explained all the information about never missing any payments as like all of you. They wrote me back with copy’s of my credit bureau report and told me i do not meet there criteria for payments with the bank. So they must be using a scoring system? I am so upset after being with them for years and my credit got hurt after my husband had to go on disability after 35 years with his job..

Klarna abandoned the Klarna Checkout in America. Literally just turned off the checkout for our store. Finally they got it back up within about a week but financing is no longer an option and according to phone support, and that there is no eta for its return. According to the agent, Klarna is ending that product in the US, we wish that they would have told us before literally collapsing on a live site.

According to the Klarna customer service rep, they are saying updating the system, so this is why a lot of people got $0 spending power. I don't know if it's true or not, but how can the spending limit go down to $0 just because Klarna is updating their system? When a bank updates its system your credit card will still work, right?
