Unusable since two days

I try to use the website (both via Safari and Opera) on IPhone, but since last Sunday it has stopped working. At one point I had a message, saying that Beta version will end soon and everyone will meed an account. Then it simply started displaying an almost frozen screen. I can still type the text, but no translation takes place.

DeepL is like a knocked-off cheap copy. When will they fix it?


I have 2 years subscription to DeepL, but recently (German-English) its translation has been unusable. Wrong tense in verbs, translated wrong meaning of words. Complete wrong meaning of sentences. Ghost Paragraphs! This has been going on on-off for about 2-3 months. Now it is getting too extreme... I can't use these translations.

DeepL translates German ...into German??

DeepL is quickly becoming unusable - I use it to translate modest sized srt files, and only a relatively few lines at a time, from German into English. I cut the srt file down into smallish chunks (only 40 or so lines at a time, each line very sparse, tipically 5 or 6 words 15 words max on each line.

I cut and paste the 40 or so lines into DeepL and it translates the German ---> back into German!
This same technique works flawlessly in Yandex, Google, and Bing translators although these each have different size limits for translating

As a lot of people are commenting, Deepl is not working in the UK. On the other hand, I also have a Spanish number with a sim from there, and Deepl works using roaming internet. So I don't really understand what that means...network issue? Although roaming is using uk network too, but maybe not in the same way...?

The end for DeepL?

No access to any translation functions, or accounts, and subscriptions platform broken for over 24 hrs - no product, no clients, no market... Total loss of service. Only Linguee is still working. Is this a DoS/hack, or just failure to scale server capacity to match user volume (almost the same thing)? Potentially game over for DeepL...? I hope not.
