Been trying to withdraw cash from investment for 2 days. Unable to do so as system stating that fees are being charged to account. However I can see that the fee has been taken so cannot see why I am being denied access to my cash. No help from Hargreaves Lansdown.

They intercept trades in VCTs and force you to use their dealing desk which charges 0.5% up to max £50 instead of the standard £11.95. They also charge more than the published stock price per unit. I traded MIG shares with a published price of 78p and was offered the full amount at 80p which I refused. Then it was 30,000 at 78p and the rest at 80p which I refused. It was then reduced to 79p which I accepted. Net result, an initial overcharge of £1,200 reduced to £300 plus £50 dealing charge. I have lodged a complaint which is ongoing.
