this is the second time ive experienced a wide outage. i can't remember exactly but the last time was recent, if not just a week ago.

Had an issue this morning that took me 3 hours to figure out that it's actually netgear who controls the GUI inside my router. Apparently if your router isn't connected to the internet you can access your gui no problem. However, if your router is connected to the internet, they currently have a server down that will route you to a page of theirs asking you to buy a 149$ "Gears" service which gives you tech support for your issue. I haven't figured out yet if this is a scam or Netgear targeted my device specifically or if they're truly having server issues. Anyway, I'm investigating.
