We are forced to use this at my company. It is slow, buggy, random, unintuitive, and rarely works as expected... not ready for prime time. I cannot share files with people in my company (they say because they don't "have an account") but I can share with my private Gmail account and it asks me to create an account. What the hell? I enter a share address many times and finally, it decides to accept the email after I typed it in many times. Cannot copy and paste a text string email - must type in the email manually, for some reason. I've wasted over an hour this morning trying to understand why it doesn't work. Just add it to the many wasted hours I've tried in the past. OH! And, when it worked (kind of) once to share files with supplier... I painstakingly transferred many files (about 4 hours!) in short batches because if you try to copy too many at once, it locks up... after a period of time (days, not months) ALL THE FILES DISAPPEARED but the folders remained. Before I went on vacation, I checked and the folders were there so I ASSUMED all the files were there, too. Told my boss - "it's in there." When I got back from vacation I was told it was just the folders so my boss had to populate all the folders, again! Thanks, for making me look like a dumbass, Syncplicity. I should have known not to expect even basic file management principles from this. DOS worked 1,000,000 times better in 1987. I've worked on computers almost daily since 1985 and there are few applications I can recall as useless as this. Phew... thanks for letting me vent! I'm sure these comments will be lost like everything in the Syncplicity world. NOW, I have to consider paying out of pocket for something that works and risk violating my company policy - not that anything I share is top secret or "classified." I guess I'm ready to defend why I cannot use this junk. Oh, BTW, what a STUPID name! Everybody thinks it is "symplicity" or "simplicity" and I have to constantly correct them and add hard emphasis on the "SYNC" then say "PLICITY" and tell them "NOT 'SIMPLICITY!'"
