Vanguard IT is staffed by incompetent clowns. Unreliable, unstable website. Customer service is completely nonfunctional.

Temporary solutions

Sometimes I get it to work with Chrome, other times I need to load Chrome with the --disable-extensions parameter to get the vanguard to log me in successfully. Today none of those methods would work with Chrome so I tried logging in to Vanguard's website through Edge and that worked. Really weird behaviour from the Vanguard website. It may be worthwhile reporting it to chrome through Alt+Shift+I while you have the error message appear on your Chrome browser. The more people reporting it the sooner it may get fixed. Although, I am not entirely sure if Chrome alone is to blame here.

Can't get on Vanguard site 6-30-23

June 30, 2023. I have tried four time to log in. After my password I just get a spinning wheel. I've let it spin 10-15 minutes before retrying each time.

Says "Our site is undergoing scheduled maintenance. Please log on to access your accounts, or try again later."
They schedule maintenance during trading hrs.?????????

New web design is awful. Fund comparison tool does not work. When choose funds to compare, get message "Only mutual funds and etfs can be compared." Previous great comparison capability is completely gone. Design is clunky, non user friendly, big gaps between rows, lacks instructions, no ability to click and compare funds. Please go back to old web design. No ability to contact Vanguard via email or live person on phone.

phone in so many times they don't care. two days hours on phone trying to make rmd contibution, web site suchs no help. They shoul be investigated by the goverment. Congess and senate needs to get on the. I happens 3 times this year, 4 last year. They put me in finacel bind as I I can't do anything about. The CEO's don't care.

For the past week I've had inconsistent log in problems interminable, hold times and condescending agents. I have been told my browser was out of date - it wasn't - I have changed my password, spent 4 hours backing up the computer and installing the most up to date OS.
The problem continues, Access to tech support has been refused or the line has been cut off after ~30 min wait. I've been with Vanguard for decades I have never before had this tech problems and arrogant, incompetent treatment.

I have the same issue, accounts are 0, some funds are there, most of them are not...I called them, but on hold, they said they'll call me back 30 to 40 minutes...

I log on see all the Fund accounts but the brokerage accounts are 0. Maybe they can hire more useless staff to manage the site. Is the HR manager now in charge of this site too?

Vanguard.com website is not working for me, but it also isn't a problem. All I have to do is go to the "Security page" and enter in my Vanguard account information. Now, even if I need to verify that I own Vanguard stock, I have done that through our My Account page. In the next step I will write a little bit more about this. Now, that I've registered, I'm ready to go. Once I get to my account page, all I need to do is click on the link that says "Create a bond or equity investment account" and wait for the whole process to complete. That's it. Everything is that simple as you can see. Thank you for your attention.
