Optus admits email server issue 16/04/2024

Unable to send emails or reply or forward emails for the last few days via the mail option on my phone (configured to optus).
Multiple contacts with optus (“your inbox must be full, switch your phone off etc…”)
Eventually told by 2 different optus staff (phone and via messenger) there is a widespread issue and technical people are trying to fix it with no resolution in sight.
Webmail works intermittently.
Asked why they didn’t have anything on their site stating there are issues…

Optuse Webmail Interface is Extremely Slow

The Optus Webmail interface is extremely slow today. When connecting to an Outlook client it starts to download all the emails again and when going directly to the interface it is taking minutes to swap between one page and the next.

Again Optus Webmail has shut-down
Would have been the second time this month
Don't know why they have a folder to send spam as been sending it there for years you would think that someone or a Artificial Intelligence program would actually scan it and block the spam
But this seems to hard for Optus
Wish I could use a different Email address but being using this address for 20 years and would be a nightmare to change eg employers billing and government departments

Pages are slow to load, searches are extremely slow. Tipping emails into garbage folder takes far too long. Sending an email, after pushing the send button takes too long.

Optus - unbearably slow webmail 15 Nov 2023

Joe I'm experiencing this as well. Optus webmail is semi slow at opening the inbox list but it just will not display a selected email. Pinging optus webmail shows a normal response time. I have no idea why this is happening

Optus webmail is mostly very slow to connect and display email which I find difficult to conduct personal business. I wonder if the Optus email server has the capacity to do the job? With the Optus privacy hack last year and the network failure this month it might be a sign that the quality of Optus is not on par with its main competitors Telstra, Aussie Broadband and Starlink (It's great to have choices).

No email attachments

Apart from not being able to log onto the webmail or having any access to my emails pretty much all day, it has now been 4 days that I am unable to send attachments to emails and the issue is still not fixed. It shows that the message has been sent successfully with the attachment but the recipient receives no attachment. Anyone else have this issue?

Optusnet webmail was so slow today two factor authentication timed out on six attempted logins. Surely it can do better than this, but not only is it running at a snails pace, neither Microsoft Outlook nor Mail running in a Windows 11 environment can find the optusnet out going server no matter what settings you put in. Can someone at Optus take this in hand an fix it. I might add that I am a long time user with very few issues until now

Very very slow. Takes about 5 minutes to open the inbox. Incoming mails get lost sometimes and never arrive. Sometimes email that are sent early (say in the morning) appear at night but showing the correct time it was originally sent. But the slowness is the killer. Yes, cleaning cookies helps make it faster but only works just the one time. The next time you log in it's slow again

Optus email outage

same issue - email via server stopped working over 2hrs ago and booted me off server. Tried to log back in and it said password incorrect. Chat help denied a problem immediately but I convinced them there was one. Now have a temporary password which continues to be useless until things come back online. This was part of Optus Chat........I've coordinated this one with our back office and as per checking here we are currently having an outage on the emails and it's not yet done - rest assured that once the maintenance for the emails we're done you should be all set for having it manage for all of your emails. This problem has just started, please be assured that I have raised this matter and they have been notified and are looking into this as well.

Not able to log in to Optus webmail for 5 days. Spoke to at least 6 Optus technicians and despite sending me new passwords all have failed. Comments from other users match my issues. Outlook can no longer synchronize with webmail except for incoming. I have to log into webmail to send, reply or forward and often these aren't successful. I am sick of ringing people in Fiji who have no idea what I'm talking about, the local optus shop can't or won't help. My tech man tells me there is no problem with my computer, the issue is optus. JUST FIX IT!!!
