www.geni.com explain password needs be updated.

I have been trying to log in to www.geni.com for about a month time now.
Unfortunately www.geni.com explains password needs to be updated.
My account was opened with "Hotmail email account".
www.geni.com never sends link to Hotmail email account. I had checked inbox and junk mail. I believe there is system error with Hotmail.
I believe from what I recall correctly seeing online in December. Is that www.geni.com is merging with another company. Possibly, this maybe causing errors. For individuals linked to using www.geni.com
I am happier once www.geni.com is accessible once again.
Unfortunately there is no customer service support to assist with these errors.
