Messaging has been down 12 days (and counting) of the 15 days since i downloaded snd started using the app. Called customer service-absolutely no help whatsoever. They weren’t even aware of any issues/outages!! Company surely profits massively to not be able to provide even half better of service. This is insanely ridiculous service to it’s paying $$$$ customers!

Always something wrong

Saying there’s issues going on but still sends my messages how do I know if my husband got them. There’s always something going on with this app. I wait and wait for my husband to call and there’s always an issue where he can’t call because GTL isn’t working!

Useless & Frustrating

7 times today I've typed out long messages to then try and send them, be met with an error message saying "body emojis aren't allowed, delete them and send the message again" and they wipe the entire message.
There's not even any emojis in the text!!
I can send messages about 3 lines long with no issue but any more than that and the app is deleting the entire message and refusing to send.

This is the worst company to deal with. They are constantly fixing their app when it’s not broken. The amount of money we pay GTL to communicate with our loved ones is insane, there are extra fees for everything. When calling customer service they barely want to help and nothing is ever on the company, they blame their services being down on the prisons and their AI is constantly denying simple pictures. They are a monopoly and treat their customers with the like.

shotty app

for the past three days i have been experiencing the phone cutting in and out, from my man not being able to dial out and more. from what i was told the app was created so that the inmates can have some sort of wat to contact friends family and loved ones without issue or delay. but its always something. like for example I can be on the phone and be in the middle of a conversation with my man and suddenly it will cut out, then there are the days the app isnt working at all. others they are working just fine. but my point is to say the app is very shotty and its not likely to work all the time. all we as the loved ones and users of the app ask is that the issues and bugs be worked out because we dont get to enjoy our phone calls and more because the app is poorly made

Anyone’s LO in Sioux fall prison heard from their LO via telephone. I know there was issues at the prison and not sure if everyone is on lock down or just some. I haven’t heard heard from my LO in a week via telephone.. I know the app is suspended.

So, the reason why South Dakota won't work is because on the 8th of March, they suspended all services with no date on its return, they came out with the statement on March 20th, on their website. If you instagram South Dakota department of corrections and click the link they have in their bio, you'll be able to read it.
I'm absolutely frustrated with the entire thing. I haven't been able to talk to my buddy for 18 days now. Which is ridiculous. I do see his green active light on but he can't message either.

I called GTL, about an hour ago and they said that all messages have been suspended until further notice. So I'm really hoping it's true that MDSP is up or will be soon for all inmates.

GTL sucks tbh

The app is still not working. I can see my contact online, but I still can't send messages. I don't think he can either otherwise he would have responded. Just says Account Suspended. Which I know isn't true.
GTL needs to get their stuff together, it's absolutely ridiculous it's been 11 days and still nothing. I've even called them and they play it off like nothing is happening. I've read a lot of comments about South Dakota, where my contact is from, so I'm really hoping that it's up soon and we're able to message each other.
We pay money to talk to our friends and loved ones and the app half the time doesn't even work properly.

Right now I can't even use the app because it's telling me my account is suspended. They can't seem to resolve my problem. The guy I spoke to said he can't see any problems with my account on his end. I sent help tickets for both my mom and myself. Not even auto reply saying they got my help request.

I haven't been able to send messages for three days. I click on my only contact, says account suspended messaging not available, I get that the systems are down, I even called the prison to see why it says account suspended, they couldn't answer why. Is that normal for it to say that when the app is down? It's absolutely frustrating when we've been talking for weeks and all of a sudden I can't message. Definitely didn't break any rules, or talked about anything inappropriate, so it really sucks this is happening!
